The report is based on surveys of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) job seekers who attended the 2004 Job Opportunties Fair in Edinburgh. Their feedback provides insight into BME experiences and perceptions of recruitment and employment practices in Scotland. It identifies shortcomings in current practices which result in barriers to employment and advancement for BME candidates, and makes recommendations on what employers can do to improve.
