WHAT IS THE JOB OPPORTUNTIES FAIR
The Job Opportunities Fair for Black and Minority Ethnic communities organised by the Associations in partnership with the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations and the Chartered Institute of Housing in Scotland, is an annual event which provides a unique opportunity to access to potential employers and discuss job opportunities and vacancies in a setting designed to ensure easy, one-to-one communication.
Many of the exhibiting organisations have internal targets for recruiting more ethnic minority employees, but are finding it difficult to do so through existing recruitment methods. This event is making an effort to remedy these issues.
Free workshops covering CV writing and interview techniques are also offered.
WHEN & WHERE IS IT HELD?
The annual Job Opportunties Fair for Black and Minority Ethnic Communities will be held in Aberdeen on Saturday, 16 JUNE '07 at the MUSIC HALL and Midlothian on Sunday 25th March '07 at Lasswade High School Centre, Bonnyrig. Anyone! The event is free. If you are looking for work or considering a career change, or just wants information about how to go about applying for a job, the aim of the Job Opportunities Fair is to present information in a clear and practical way, and directly from employers.
